Whether it’s Maine’s famous rocky coast or a woodsy proposal tucked into one of the park’s birch groves, we get really excited to start cooking up a plan that is as unique as the couple we’re working with.

We met Isabelle & Noah in Acadia on their 2nd wedding anniversary, and photographed them at sunrise, rock climbing on Otter Cliffs. But as is sometimes the case with the island, as a result of thick fog the sun was blocked out until late morning. So we were excited for the second chance to wake up in the dark with them, down a few cups of coffee, and head in to the park for an adventure filled Acadia sunrise photo session!

Libby & Steve are no strangers to adventure. Midwesterners, they drove out to Maine for an  Acadia National Park wedding. As their wedding photographers we were thrilled to be included with just twenty other people on a tour of the park that ended with an afternoon ceremony on top of Cadillac Mountain!

Finding a private proposal spot in Acadia National Park can be a real challenge. For years this spot was our family sunset location. We would scoot up here after dinner, armed with fleecy layers and flashlight, for the show. The beauty is that we always have this spot to ourselves. For decades. We’ve seen evenings where the water is completely still and reflecting orange and red. And we’ve seen stormy seas with skies moodier than our worst hangry moments.

Erin & Miguel’s life stories read like world class resumes. Although for both, it’s hard to tell whether they are renowned scientists or elite outdoors athletes. They’re both! And their Acadia National Park wedding was the perfect setting to capture their diversity.

Mount Desert Island (MDI) summers are full of magic! Meghan & Ben seemed more than happy to prove this right during an epic Acadia sunset sailing photography session. Our time with them meandering Southwest Harbor on a Friendship Sloop was beyond words.

Our list of the best Acadia National Park proposal locations isn’t one you will find in a guide book. And it’s probably not one you could get by asking a Park Ranger, or even the bartender at Side Street Cafe. Christian found this out quickly. He called looking for photographers for the surprise sunrise proposal he was planning.

If you’ve spent more than a few minutes with us, then chances are you know that Acadia is our favorite place on earth. So when a couple asks us about Acadia National Park engagement pictures, we’re picking up our cameras before they finish the sentence.

We instantly have a connection with any couple that is passionate about Mount Desert Island (MDI), Acadia National Park, and wanting a Bar Harbor wedding. It’s insanely unlikely that you can visit this magical island without it changing your life.

Many believe the path to love is the greatest adventure. Isabelle and Noah totally prove that the wedding is only just the beginning! Married two years ago, they were in Bar Harbor for a friend’s wedding. With each friend who gets married outside of their New York City home base they create a mini-vacation. Filling extra time with outdoor activity, sight seeing, road tripping, and good eats. So they were happy to fill a short notice vacancy for our Acadia engagement photos session.
